Important Notice About the latin-r.com Domain
We would like to inform our community that latin-r.com is not the official website of the LatinR conference. The official LatinR website is latinr.org.
LatinR previously owned the latin-r.com domain and used it as part of its online presence. We later decided to move our official website to the .org domain, as it better reflects the nature of our conference. As a result, latin-r.com is no longer owned or controlled by LatinR.
We recently became aware that this domain is being used by a third party to publish information related to the LatinR conference. The current LatinR organization has no relationship with the current owners or operators of latin-r.com, nor have we authorized them to represent our conference.
In particular:
- We have no involvement in the development, maintenance, or updating of that website.
- We do not control, review, or approve the information published there.
- Information published on latin-r.com should not be interpreted as official, authorized, or endorsed by LatinR.
This situation may cause confusion and lead visitors to mistakenly believe that latin-r.com is still an official website or is affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by LatinR. We recommend exercising particular caution and always consulting our official sources.
Actions Taken
In response to this situation, we have taken the appropriate steps to report the possible misuse of LatinR’s former domain and the potential confusion caused by its current use.
The report has been received by the relevant entity, and we will continue to monitor the situation. We will keep the community informed of any relevant developments.
Please remember that the only official website of the conference is latinr.org.
